Vintage Jewellery Size Guide

Necklaces

Necklaces have the measurements of the chains and pendants separately so you can get a real idea of size. The mannequin torso pictured is a full length one (37cm) but the neck is small (28cm) approximately two thirds of a regular neck size.

A side note: Often (this is generally, but not always) Mexican necklaces, are short choker style so please check the measurements to make sure it's the right length for you.

Bracelets

Bracelets are given in fit size (that is, the length of the bracelet minus the clasp) so you know the wearable length, and cuffs include the gap between bracelet sides so you know the wrist size it is designed for.

A side note: The Mexican bracelets are often quite long in length, worn lower toward the hand rather than tightly around the wrist so just be sure to check the length is right for you.

Rings

Rings have both the dimensions of the setting itself so you can determine how large a piece is, and a band size, to ensure a snug fit on your finger.
If you don't know your ring size, you can easily measure it with the method below and compare the measurement in the sizing table.

Take a piece of string, or a narrow rectangle of paper and encircle the base of your finger, use a pen to mark where the piece overlaps and measure it on a ruler.

The table below shows you the corresponding size to match your measurement. If you have a larger knuckle make sure to measure your knuckle, instead of the base of your finger, so it won't get stuck on the way!
